Things to note
This is the Knoydart Foundation campsite. Managed as part of our Knoydart Foundation Ranger service this campsite offers spectacular views. Fires are permitted in the designated fire pits.
PLEASE NOTE: There is no vehicular access to Knoydart. It's part of the experience. If you are not walking in to Knoydart then you need to book a ferry via the Western Isles.

Camping at Knoydart Long Beach campsite
With a spectacular view out over Inverie Bay, the Isle of Rum sits centre on the horizon, Long Beach campsite on Knoydart is one to get on the bucket list. Behind you wild Munros stretch majestically into the sky and glens stretch off in two directions as the Inverie River meanders lazily towards the sea.
At high tide the campsite sits just yards from the waves, making it ideal for a swim or a paddle.
Having taken the foot ferry from Mallaig there is a short walk from the pier in Inverie (Just 15 mins). Feeling fit? Then the campsite awaits you after a three day hike over the mountains. Please note. There is no car access to the site. Which is one of it's advantages. It's an adventure to get here.
A top of the range compost toilet is available for campers along with a log cabin shelter.
Wood for fires is provided. Please only take your fair share.
Long Beach campsite on Knoydart is a great base for exploring Knoydart and its neighbours.
