Camping at Long Beach

Camping on Knoydart is spectacular.  Long Beach campsite is beautifully situated with a view out across Inverie Bay.  The Isle of Rum is framed centrally on the horizon.  The views are quite stunning.   Long Beach is a great place to camp on Knoydart whether you’re looking for somewhere to aimlessly linger for days or to utilise as a base camp for exploring the Rough Bounds and its rugged Munros.

Knoydart Foundation Ranger Events

Throughout the year our Rangers organises one off events and activities for the public to join.  These are often free, or low cost.  Whether it’s building a new outdoor bowling alley or an Easter egg hunt there’s always something happening on the peninsula.

Knoydart Bike Hire

Hiring a bike on Knoydart allows you to explore further afield.   With seven miles of road and many more miles of tracks to explore there’s plenty to see.  Whether it’s the Golden Eagles, Sea Eagles, Red Deer or the vitrified fort at Doune the hire of a bike gives you the opportunity to witness some of Knoydart’s riches.

About the Knoydart Foundation Ranger Service

For a number of years the Knoydart Foundation Ranger Service has helped bring the land, history and environment of Knoydart to visitors to the peninsula.   Our current Rangers, Finlay and Drew , work as a team to provide a number of activities, events and services on Knoydart, building the service up to the multi-faceted nature experience we see today.
